FAQ

WHAT'S A FIRST LOOK YOU ASK?:
Well it's all the rage now! Brides and Grooms are getting slammed with the hustle and bustle of the entire wedding day workflow and are not spending one minute with just eachother on their day. The first look gives the couple a special moment that ends up being one of the best moments of the day. The two get to see one another for thirty minutes while the photographer captures them spending this short quiet alone time. It also allows for some of the best pictures of the day. Here are some words from one of my brides:

"When Barb first suggested to me that Isaac & I do a "first look" photo shoot, I was some what hesitant, and definitely had to think it over. Isaac & I are traditional, we had a traditional church wedding, did all the traditional wedding things that bride & grooms do, I was afraid that doing a first-look would ruin the moment of me walking down the aisle, seeing my groom for the first time....I was so wrong. We decided to do the first look, and I wouldn't have had it any other way. The photo shoot was truly an intimate moment. It was just me and him, nobody else. It was the first & only time during that day that Isaac & I had a few moments together, and I truly cherish that time.

Barbara stood off capturing priceless photos of us in our true form, she captured our nervousness, surprised faces, happiness, excitement, and joy of being together, just the two of us, before the business of the wedding began. The first look was truly a special moment I will never forget. Not only did the first look help me get over my nerves, it also made the rest of the photos go by like a breeze. After Isaac & I finished our first look, we went ahead and did all of our wedding party photos, and most of our family photos. By the time the wedding started, we had pretty much finished all of our photos. After the wedding, we took a few more photos, and then, Isaac & I went to our reception. We didn't stand around for hours after the wedding, like some people do, taking photos. We literally arrived at our reception right on time.

I truly would recommend a first look photo shoot to anyone. Barbara captured a moment in time I never will forget, and I am so grateful we did a first look! "-------- Heather Hill Mata

ABOUT THE ENGAGEMENT SHOOT:
Engagement shoots happen to be one of my favorites! I love getting to be with the bride and groom before the wedding because it allows me to get to know the couple and see how they interact with each-other. It's important to me because my goal is to get you comfortable so when the big day comes, you will feel completely at ease knowing how we will interact with one another. Not to mention engagement shoots are just simply F-U-N! Lots of laughs, kisses and love.
